Indoor Air Quality services
Indoor air quality services add filtration, UV light, humidity control and fresh-air ventilation to your HVAC system. They help with dust, allergies, wildfire smoke, dry winter air and stuffy, tightly sealed homes.

- Licensed local contractors
- Written price first

The simplest upgrade is a better media filter cabinet sized so it does not choke airflow. UV lights mounted near the indoor coil help keep it free of mold growth. Whole-home humidifiers add moisture in dry climates and heating seasons, and ERVs or HRVs bring in filtered outdoor air while recovering heat or cooling.
No single product fixes every problem. A contractor should ask what you are trying to solve, check airflow and duct leakage, and recommend the smallest change that addresses it.

FAQ
Indoor Air Quality questions
What MERV rating should my filter be?+
MERV 8 to 13 suits most homes, as long as the system has enough filter area. A high-MERV filter in a small slot can restrict airflow.
Do UV lights kill viruses in the whole house?+
Coil-mounted UV lights mainly keep the coil clean. Claims about whole-house virus removal should be treated with caution.
What is an ERV?+
An energy recovery ventilator exchanges stale indoor air for fresh outdoor air while transferring heat and some moisture between the two airstreams.
