Ductless Mini-Splits services
Ductless mini-splits heat and cool individual rooms or zones without ductwork. They are a common fix for hot bedrooms, garages, additions, and older homes where running ducts is impractical.

A mini-split pairs an outdoor heat pump with one or more indoor heads mounted on a wall or ceiling, connected by a small line set through a hole about three inches across. Each head has its own temperature control, so you only condition the rooms you use.
Mini-splits need their filters washed regularly and their indoor coils and blower wheels cleaned periodically. Mold in the blower wheel is a common source of musty smells, and drain problems often show up as water dripping from the indoor head.

FAQ
Ductless Mini-Splits questions
How many indoor heads do I need?+
Usually one per room or open area you want to control. A contractor should size each head to the room's heat load rather than guessing.
Why does my mini-split smell musty?+
Mold or dirt on the indoor coil and blower wheel is the usual cause. A deep cleaning of the indoor head typically fixes it.
Can a mini-split heat a whole house?+
In smaller or open-plan homes, a multi-zone system can. Larger homes often use mini-splits alongside a central system.
